I have a 87c3 motherboard and I was wondering if it was possible for me to match a 16gb corsair vengeance stick with a 32gb corsair vengeance stick, or would it damage my pc of i tried?

Greetings @Rylf3

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Installing compatible RAM correctly should not damage the PC. It's possible to damage the memory slot and/or the memory module if the RAM is installed incorrectly.

The second stick of RAM may work as intended, or all system memory may run at a lower frequency and higher timings, or the PC may not POST.

It is generally recommended to use a memory kit for the best results when upgrading RAM.
