Input signal not found check the video cable or video source monitor going to sleep

i bought a new HP monitor 22fw 21 inch. When i turned of my computer the monitor showing a message

"Input signal not found check the video cable or video source monitor going to sleep.."

than i reattach the cable running from my monitor to my PC twice. & already installed the HP software but nothing different.. How can i fix this..? Is it Harmful my computer

What type of connection, whether VGA or HDMI.

You connect a cable, then turn on the computer. It is supposed to "detect" either VGA or HDMI.

Here is the manual, see page 7.  You can select the input.  That should fix it. 😀
