@Alexasdp,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Let me just say from one User to another, that it is beyond frustrating to deal with the microcode instability issues, especially after a BIOS update didn’t resolve the problem. Since HP isn’t offering a direct solution and you’ve confirmed that your Intel Core i7-13700 is affected, you should be able to claim the extended warranty through Intel instead.

Steps to Claim Intel’s Extended Warranty:

  1. Check Intel’s Replacement Program – Go to Intel’s official warranty claim page:

  2. Verify Processor Eligibility – Use Intel’s Processor Diagnostic Tool or their warranty check tool to confirm that your CPU qualifies.

  3. Start the RMA Process – If your CPU is eligible, Intel will guide you through submitting a claim for a replacement. How to contact Intel for RMA? In the US, call: 9 1 6 - three seven seven - seven triple zero.

  4. Contact Intel Support (if needed) – If you run into issues, you can reach out to Intel directly via chat or phone for assistance.

Since Intel has officially acknowledged the issue and is offering replacements, you should not have to pay for this. HP may not be responsible for the CPU itself, but Intel is standing behind their product, so go straight to them.

Let me know if you need any help navigating the process!

Kind Regards,
