I was wondering if it was possible to get more ram (at least to 16 GB or higher) on an HP All-In-One 2022 Desktop that has a base of 12 GB (9.92 Usable) despite the cards being integrated.

Hi @divilove,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
Upgrading the RAM in an HP All-In-One 2022 Desktop is usually possible, but it depends on the specific model and its hardware configuration. Here are some general steps and considerations:
Check Maximum Supported RAM: Consult the user manual or the specifications of your specific HP All-In-One model to find out the maximum supported RAM. HP’s official support site or documentation should have this information.
Determine Current Configuration: Identify the current RAM configuration. This can usually be done through the system settings:
- On Windows, go to Task Manager > Performance > Memory to see the current RAM configuration and usage.
- Alternatively, you can use third-party software like CPU-Z to get detailed information about your RAM.
Access the RAM Slots: Many all-in-one desktops have a panel at the back or bottom that provides access to the RAM slots. You may need to refer to the service manual or a teardown guide specific to your model for instructions on how to open the panel safely.
Select Compatible RAM Modules: Once you know the type of RAM your system uses (e.g., DDR4, specific speed), you can purchase compatible RAM modules. It’s often recommended to buy RAM in matched pairs for better performance.
Install the New RAM: Power off the computer, unplug it, and ground yourself to prevent static damage. Remove the existing RAM if necessary, and install the new modules by aligning them with the slots and pressing firmly until they click into place.
Verify Installation: After installing the new RAM, power on the computer and verify that the system recognizes the new RAM. You can check this in the BIOS/UEFI setup or in the system information section of your operating system.
Steps to Check if Your Model Supports RAM Upgrade:
Find Your Model Number:
- Check the model number on the back of your desktop or in the system settings.
Visit HP’s Support Website:
- Go to HP's Support Website.
- Enter your model number to find the product specifications and documentation.
Check Service and Upgrade Manuals:
- Look for service or upgrade manuals that detail the process and limitations for upgrading RAM on your specific model.
Kindly check the next set of steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @divilove,
Please find the next set of steps below.
Example Process:
Open the Back Panel:
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the back panel.
- Carefully remove the panel to expose the RAM slots.
Install RAM:
- If there is an empty slot, insert the new RAM module.
- If you need to replace existing RAM, remove the old module by pressing the clips on either side and lifting the module out.
- Insert the new module, ensuring it is firmly seated.
Reassemble and Test:
- Replace the back panel and secure it with screws.
- Power on the computer and check the system properties to ensure the new RAM is recognized.
If the above steps do not help, I recommend you contact phone support for further assistance.

Yes, you can upgrade the RAM on the HP All-In-One 2022 Desktop to 16 GB or higher, as long as the motherboard supports the upgrade. It's a good idea to check the maximum supported RAM in your user manual or on HP's official website. If you enjoy gaming, visit this awesome video game that runs great with higher RAM!
