Hey all, I have an HP Envy tower with the 12th generation i9, RTX 3070, and a custom set of 64 GB of RAM (16 by 4). The motherboard is the 894b and am running the most recent bios version. I can't get my RAM to run at the native 3200 MT/s, and the system defaults to 2400 MT/s. There are no options in bios to adjust this, and nothing on Google or HP forums has pointed me in a direction. I know that my motherboard can't OC, but is there anything I can do besides changing motherboards?

Hi @ERM101
You must indicate the complete model please, but I think I understand, that you bought memory with XMP profile, and your computer does not have BIOS compatible with XMP and you can not change the frequency in BIOS

This is the generic number for a number of models.

but I'm sure you bought XMP memory, and only some gaming PC models have XMP memory compatible BIOS that can change the frequency mode, Envy TE02 does not have that BIOS.
You should not buy this type of memory. You should only buy JEDEC-based memory and not XMP-based memory, if you want to have the frequency supported by the processor.
