It looks like you’re trying to get an operating system CD, but most systems these days no longer use CDs for recovery. Instead, you can create a recovery USB drive using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool. This tool allows you to download and reinstall the operating system directly from HP’s servers.

 

It’s usually faster and more reliable than using CDs.

Here's how you can get started:

  1. Download the HP Cloud Recovery Tool from the HP support website.
  2. Install the tool on a working PC.
  3. Connect a USB drive (at least 32 GB).
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a recovery USB.

Once the recovery drive is ready, you can boot your system from the USB and reinstall the operating system.

  • Are you getting any specific error messages when trying to download the OS?
  • What’s the exact model of your HP system?
