Hello! I was in contact with AMD and I was having issues updating my RX 6600 XT. I went to check HP's drivers but they seem to be 3 years old with no updates. Is the 6600 XT in my Desktop any different then others that were produced? Every time I install the updated drivers to my PC its a constant battle getting everything to work properly. Also can I or should I disable my iGPU as it seems to be the source of the issue.
Any insight to how I can get everything working properly would be great! Thanks!
I was also curious if I could simply put my processor and graphics card onto another motherboard if need be? Thanks again

AMD released win10/11 drivers July 2024 for your HP RX 6600 XT
I would use the Adrenaline 24.7.1 windows qualified version
You mentioned a BIOS upgrade but you did not mention your desktop system.
It is always dangerous to upgrade bios. Unless there is a real need and the HP support assistant requests the upgrade, I would not do it. Look at the BIOS revision history and see if an upgrade is useful. Updates that improve security are needed in a corporate environment but for gaming system they will likely slow down your system.
I personally would not upgrade any gaming BIOS that was only security related unless the PC was used in a corporate, industrial or military organization.

Sorry I mean upgrading the motherboard. I did update the BIOs but it did impact the computers performance in a negative way. Since then I did reformat but I doubt that would undue the BIOs update correct? How would I go about rolling the bios update back or would that be a nightmare?
The current AMD Adrenlin drivers are the ones I always have issue with for some reason, even after contacting AMD they werent able to really tell me much since its an HP system and they have no idea what changes HP couldve made to the system
My apologies I thought it was in the posts information, I have a Pavilion TG01 *RX 6600 XT, Ryzen 7 5700G model)
They had told me to go into the BIOs and disable the iGPU. But HP's bios dont even allow the option to do this, how could I go about disabling the iGPU since it seems to be the source of the problems for allowing Adrenlin to work properly
