HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-dk0047tx
Microsoft Windows 11
  • Hello. I have an issue where the keyboard backlight on my 15-dk0047tx is not working. I've tried using the fn keys and I've also tried updating the BIOS to the lastest version (F.66) and updating drivers both through windows. Action keys is enabled in the BIOS. This has been updated to windows 11 but I don't know if it worked on windows 10 being as this was gifted to me. I can't find any drivers on HP's website for my laptop. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks

which says nothing about its keyboard. Does your machine have a F* key with backlit symbol  banhien_0-1716691122445.jpeg    ?

  • If NO, it does not have backlit keyboard.
  • If YES, please use the following Guide

I've tried this and still nothing. It does have the keyboard backlight button on the F5 key. Also the second link is no longer available.

I've checked the BIOS and everything is as it should be. I've just come to find out the F5 key on my keyboard is not working. I've tried using Microsoft powertoys to remap F5 to a different button but still nothing. Is there any other way I can sort this out?

Sounds like you have to replace the keyboard.
