Hello! I have another question for the community. Recently I brought my desktop to BestBuy Geek Squad because my computer is having issues while gaming I have lag spikes with good ping and I'm not sure why. The employee told me it had something to do with my ram or graphics card so I bought new ram but the same issue and I'm not entirely sure what graphics card to get or how to change it. My internet is excellent tried resetting everything nothing worked. I was hoping someone had answers?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Does it happen with all the games?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
Run the Extensive Test if no system component failed during the Fast Test.
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the f2 key.
- On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System TestsExtensive Test.
- Click either Run once or Loop until error.
- While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component is displayed on the screen.
- If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) for when you contact HP Customer Support. The information is also available in Test Logs on the main menu.
And, also change the video display settings to match the minimum display requirements for the game.
- Right-click an open space of the Windows desktop (not on an icon), and then click Display settings.
- Change the resolution to match the game’s recommended display settings. Recommended display settings can be found using an online search.
- Click OK to accept the change.
- If prompted, accept the new settings. The display reverts to the prior settings if the changes are not accepted.
- If prompted, select the option to restart the computer, and then try playing the game again.
For more information on how to display settings can affect performance, go to Improving Video Game Performance or FPS (Windows 10).
And, also run BIOS Update: Follow the steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for posting back.
The last thing I can suggest try and restore the OS back to the factory default, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue. The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.
