Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-r0000 (76T01AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Victus 16’s screen began flickering intermittently, which I traced to a failing charger that had also damaged the DC jack over time. I brought it in for a jack replacement, thermal paste, and cleaning, supplying my own compatible part to save on cost. After the repair, I ordered a new 230W charger separately. Testing afterward, FurMark ran cleanly with stable FPS and healthy temps, and HWiNFO64 confirmed a proper 72W charge rate with all hardware reading normal. However, the flicker recurred while running Cyberpunk 2077, worsening until the screen began blinking erratically and the laptop failed to boot past the Windows welcome screen.
