OMEN by HP 40L Gaming Desktop PC GT21-0000a (3G5Z0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought an HP OMEN 40L gaming PC in NOV. I have had two previous Omen's which I have loved and had no issues.

Since I have had it, there are times when launching games, or mid-playing a game. My peripherals will turn off and on, including my monitors. My PC stays on. The monitors will then act like they aren't connected to the PC.  I usually have to do a hard reset with the PC for everything to connect again.

After I make sure GeForce Drivers, Windows, etc are all up to date, I will be good for weeks.

I have swapped cords, changed monitors etc, and it will still happen randomly. Usually letting my PC sit off for a couple of hours does the trick. If it doesn't there's usually a GeForce driver update waiting.

This week I can do everything on my PC with no issue, but when I launch games, all my peripherals turn off and on - then they reset and my monitor show my PC turning on, even though my PC hasn't reset or has turned off. I also double-check my temps and they are always low and in good numbers to make sure its not an overheating problem. I have run all the diagnostics that I can and everything says good. I have looked for a Driver, bios, OS etc updates - and I am updated and good on everything, but I literally can't launch any game.

I can only think I was giving a faulty GPU or power supply?  maybe even a faulty motherboard?

The best part is, is that I have had to submit a grievance because HP thinks I bought this computer over a year ago and now don't have a warranty. Even though I bought it 3.5 months ago lol

hi

it definitely looks like a cut in the graphics card
if it happens mainly in game, maybe it's a loss of power, if you say the temperatures are good!
so either it's the graphics card or the power supply that won't give enough power!
in any case, from what you indicate, only the return under warranty / repair remains
if you have a problem with the expiry date of the warranty, if not buy from hp, try to see with the seller!
