I have the Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-017m CTO and I opened my case last night and I saw that I have a M.2 slot. Can this SSD work with my motherboard. The motherboard I have is the HP Erica 8643. Can I keep my HDD and all of its data when I get the SSD. Also can I make it a boot device and how do I make it my C drive and make my HDD which is my current drive a storage drive without reinstalling Windows because I don't know how to do none of that.

Yes, you can install a M.2, SSD, into the socket on the motherboard. Here is the Interactive Part Locator for the computer: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06504786
Scroll down to the "Parts List" and click on the M.2 Solid State Drive. This will take you to the section that helps you find the M.2 socket on your motherboard.
Here is the "Upgrading and Servicing Guide": http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06425327
It will give you further information on upgrading the computer. Here is the memory and M.2, SSD's that are recommended by Crucial Memory: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP-Compaq/pavilion-gaming-tg01-0170m-cto
The exact model that you listed in your link doesn't seem to be on the list, but you can choose one of them. If Crucial recommends one of their products it is guaranteed to work.
Here is a HP Knowledge Base article to help you with the transition from the hard drive disk (HDD) to the M.2, Solid State Drive (SSD): https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Upgrading-Desktop-or-Laptop-to-a-SSD/ta-p/73048...
There are numerous videos online to help you with installing the M.2, SSD.

WARNING: The Erica board only support PCIEx2, not X4.
The Erica2 board supports X4.
Expect that NMVe to run at 1/2 speed.
