Hello again @david_02

That model HP (and HP's in general, with a few exceptions) cannot be overclocked. The bios is locked and cannot be changed.

Even if you could, you would need an unlocked CPU also. The i5 6400 model number would have to include the letter K. Example 6400K.

Hi, I'm in a similar position.

I'm trying to overclock this HP OMEN

https://support.hp.com/se-sv/product/OMEN-by-HP-870-000-Desktop-PC-series/11084748/model/12725465/do...

without success 😞

Although there is a "tab" for overclocking in the (sparse) BIOS setting, and the cpu is an "K" model (Intel Core i5-6600K) the frequency , after the modest overclocking to 4.100 mhz in the bios, still reads 3,9 (turbo boost) in the coreTemp app.

Are you saying that the mb can not run an overclocked cpu?

Regards,

J
