OMEN 30L
Microsoft Windows 11

Good Evening,

When I play heavy graphics games (such as Snowrunner in 4k), my monitor will basically go to what I would call a sleep mode, but the tower is still running. I can't wake up the monitor and have to physically turn the tower off and then back on. It doesn't do this with all games, but this is one of two simulator games that cause it. My drivers are up to date best of my knowledge (NVIDIA Geforce Experience, Windows driver updates). I've run HP diagnostics and bench tests, haven't had any issues either, everything comes out fine. Is this by chance a faulty power supply not able to keep up with the 3080?

I looked into Event Viewer and this is what happened at the time of the last 'crash'.

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

------------------------------------

your problem probably comes from the graphics card

If the games are too powerful, compared to the card
if the card overheats too much
simply defective
you will have to check step by step, probably, but if you are under warranty, that the graphics card is normally more than sufficient for the games tested, contact the after-sales service, at best the dealer
