Omen 25L
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I purchased an Omen 25L GT12 and I am having trouble with the HDMI port.  I initially plugged in the monitor using the HDMI and it worked fine until it needed to be restarted.  Once it needed to be restarted (loading updates or software) it came up with a blue screen that said Recovery-It looks like windows didn't load correctly.  Once I figured out it was the monitor making this message come up I tried replacing the HDMI cord, thinking it might be bad but had the same problem. I finally hooked up another monitor being used by a different computer using the display port and had no troubles at all even with a restart.  What could be the problem?

@NickH4 , welcome to the Community.

What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.

Thank you for the additional information, @NickH4!

I suspect that you have a failed HDMI port either on the display or computer.  The best way to know is connect the monitor with the HDMI to a computer with a HDMI port to see if the monitor still has the problem.
