@Dustinbullock02 , welcome to the Community.
What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant. Once I have this information I will help you further.

Hi,
It looks like you have the Erica2 motherboard (and the B550A chipset. The B550 chipset supports 3000 series CPUs but first, HP would have to provide this option in the BIOS and second, your MB supports only 65 watt CPUs. The 3900x requires more wattage.
I don't think you can run a 3900x in your motherboard. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06418906 HP would not include a CPU option where the CPU's TDP exceeds HP's motherboard TDP specifications.
