So for about 2 months my Omen 25L pc hasn't been connecting to my monitor. I've tried turning it on and off, disconnecting everything and Turing it back on, I've even tried cleaning the ram. Nothing works, please help!!

Hi @HoneybunWrastle ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your Omen 25L PC not connecting to your monitor. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue:

1. Check the Monitor and Cable

  • Ensure the monitor is powered on and displaying the correct input (e.g., HDMI or DisplayPort).
  • Test the monitor with another device (like a laptop or another PC) to make sure it works properly.
  • Inspect the cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA). If you have a spare, try swapping it out to rule out a faulty cable.

2. Try a Different Port

  • If you're using HDMI, try another HDMI port on the PC and the monitor.
  • For DisplayPort, try switching ports as well.

3. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off both the PC and the monitor.
  • Unplug the PC and monitor from the power source.
  • Hold the power button of the PC for about 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect everything and try turning it back on.

4. Check for GPU Issues

  • If you have a dedicated graphics card, ensure it’s properly seated in its PCIe slot.
  • Try removing and reseating the GPU.
  • Test the monitor with the integrated graphics (if your CPU has integrated graphics) by connecting the monitor directly to the motherboard’s video output, bypassing the GPU.

5. Boot Into Safe Mode

  • If the screen is completely blank during boot, try booting into Safe Mode by turning the PC on and off three times in a row during startup (this should trigger the automatic repair process).
  • If successful, you can try updating or reinstalling your graphics drivers from Safe Mode.

6. Test with a Different Computer

  • Connect your Omen 25L to a different monitor to check if the problem lies with the PC or the monitor itself.

7. Check the Graphics Drivers

  • Boot into Safe Mode and uninstall the current graphics drivers via Device Manager.
  • Once uninstalled, reboot the PC and let Windows attempt to reinstall the drivers automatically.

8. Reset the BIOS

  • You can try clearing the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes, then reinserting it. This can help if there are display issues caused by BIOS settings.

9. Test the PC's Internal Components

  • If none of the above steps work, the issue might be with your motherboard, graphics card, or power supply.

Refer to this document: HP PCs - Connecting a monitor, projector, or TV (Windows)

HP PCs - Using two or more monitors with one computer (Windows 11, 10)

HP PCs - Connecting to a wireless monitor or smart TV (Windows 11, 10)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
