Hi

Please provide a specific Product number.

The GT21-0000a product series has two MB options. One MB supports Ryzen 5800X and 5900X CPUs. Both CPUs can run very hot if not properly cooled. The other MB supports: 5600G, 5700G, and 5700X CPUs which don't run as hot as the previous CPUs.

I don't know what graphics card you have. Newer graphics cards can also run very hot if chassis airflow is restricted.

The M.2 system drive can also get hot. This will degrade system stability and performance. The MB may be overheating or you could have a power delivery problem that is causing system instability. Memory modules can also get hot.

Download and run HWiNFO portable while using the PC. Check all system  temps to see if you can isolate: the hot component or possible multiple hot components.

You can contact HP Support if in warranty for service after isolating the problem. This will help HP provide an acceptable solution. Have a local PC Tech take a look if out of warranty or try to fix it yourself if you like to do this kind of thing.

Edit: Check for a BIOS update. But you need the specific product number to identify the correct MB.
