New Pavilion Gaming Desktop 3LA92AA#ABA

As per the title, I just recieved a HP "gaming" desktop for Christmas. However this desktop will not play any games with out locking up, playing some sort of slideshow, locking up then blowing out my audio (causing me to have to uninstall my audio drivers to recieve sound back, making me double boot just to hear things again). I am sick of it. My 6 year old frankenstien computer works more responsively and plays games more stable than this computer. I have always liked HP products until this. This is supposed to be a lower end gaming computer, how can you call this a gaming computer when it can not reliably run games? The auto robbing of 1.1 Gb of RAM and the cheap only 8 GB standard is also terrible. 6.9 GB of RAM? I am about to send this thing back and get my money back. this computer is a joke. 

Also do not reply with some "simple" "easy" fix. I was a computer professional for a living before I got sick, have been an IT manager for million dollar companies, been an industrial computer controlled robot tech, etc etc. In other words I am an advanced computer literate person. I know what I am doing with computers. Something is NOT right. Just trying one last thing before sending this piece of junk back.

I recommend you perform a system test on the computer following the steps in the below article to check whether there is any hardware issue.

If the hardware test pass, then I recommend you perform a reset on the computer and test.

Well, if the amount of memory you have is insufficient then get it upgraded - can't see any problem with it?

(You could have purchased with 16GB on board already, n'est ce pas?)

then get all drivers updated, check all disk drives etc.. And whilst being here:

I see that this PC does not have a SSD, only HDD - which probably explain its clunkiness as that will be your bottleneck. Perhaps having some thoughts about adding SSD (SATA or M.2 - probably latter as I can see that your MoBo [https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c05939208] has only two SATA ports available and they both are busy serving HDD and DVD) and migrating OS there would not be a bad idea and would speed up things quite considerably? It may be ~£200 that should noticeably improve the performance.
