Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I would like to upgrade the Ram on my Omen 25L from the factory sticks of 2x8gb to either 32gb or 64gb. I wanted to use either HyperX Fury 16GB DDR4 from the HP website or Kingston Fury Beast 64GB  from amazon, and i was wondering if it was compatible with my PC.  I've read other posts that say only HP brand Kingston sticks are compatible/can achieve desired MHz speed, so i was thinking i should ask here.

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

I would go with the HP memory if this memory is compatible with your specific MB. You haven't disclosed a specific HP PC product number, so I don't know what MB is in your PC.

 

Yes, 25L HP PCs can be finicky with non HP memory. The non HP memory may not work at all or this memory will default to standard JDEC speeds and timings.

 

Some HP MBs don't support 32 GB memory modules.
