OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0024

So basically had this PC for about a year and 4 months the warranty expired early December 2021 but anyways i was having an issue just be playing a game i dont know for how long but started first with it freezing and some sort've like blue screen message maybe like a microsoft notification would pop up like oops there was a problem and would send an error report and reboot my computer which i assume may have something leading up to this cause but anyways i was playing a sort've high demand game yet i usually run my games at medium or low settings to not put much load into it but the screen just went black and box appeared on my screen saying HDMI port is inactive but my PC was still running so had to force power off the PC so i tried relaunching the game and once it would load up the game menu the same thing would happen and my screen will go black with the computer still running and i can still hear my friend in my voice discord channel i've tried looking it up i uninstalled my graphics driver and reinstalled it maybe i might've not done the process properly just wanting to figure out exactly whats wrong and just upset that if it is a broken graphics card because my warranty has expired and been having signs months before my warranty ended not knowing that there was a problem because would be getting freezing with just a send an error report response not knowing it would lead to my PC not being able to play high end games now and am not able to afford to replace the graphics card.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I see that your OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0024 screen is going black when you play a high-demand game on it. 

 

May I know if you have made any recent hardware or software changes to your system?

Could you please let me know if it happens only when you play a high-demand game?

 

You can try restarting the graphics driver. Restart Graphics Driver using Win+Ctrl+Shift+B Shortcut.
Use the key combination Win+Ctrl+Shift+B on your Windows 10/8 keyboard. The screen flickers and goes black for a second, and will be back in less than a second.

 

You could also try reinstalling the graphics card to check if the issue persists. You can do it from the Device Manager, select the driver and do it.

 

Along with that, I would suggest you please update all the drivers of your system and check if the issue persists. Here is a link that will help you update drivers.

Thanks for replying but yes this only happens when i play a high demand game i am still able to use my computer other the only thing i havent done is what you mentioned is restarting the graphics driver and that didn't seem to work.

 

But yes it only seems to only happen when i play high demand games for example i will launch New World and it will show its loading and screen and once it wants to load to the menu screen my screen gos black and my monitor says HDMI inactive and i will be in a Discord voice channel and i can hear and talk to people in the voice channel and i don't know how to bring my screen back and have to force turn off my PC other games i have tried is Terraria, Project Zomboid, and Age of Empires 2 HD that i was able to play.

 

I also Launched Rainbow 6 Siege and i can get to the menu screen and once i launch Matchmaking once it connects me to a Match my screen will go black and monitor will say same thing.

 

My drivers are always up to date i update my windows and Nvidia whenever i get a notification for them

Try checking with a different monitor or different cable and check if it helps. Also, try connecting the monitor to a different PC and check if you are able to see the display.

 

If you are able to see the display on another PC, it is an issue with the PC you are connecting.

Try the steps recommended below and let me know the outcome of it.

 

Press the Fn key + F4 key to extend the displays.

 

Extend your display by changing display settings.
a. Open Screen Resolution by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under Appearance and Personalization, clicking Adjust screen resolution
b. Click the drop-down list next to Multiple Displays, click Extend these displays, and then click OK.

Ok i managed to get my PC hooked up to another monitor and same thing happens i launch the game i get to the game menu and once i start the game my screen will go black and monitor says cannot detect HDMI or something like that
