Hi all, I am stuck installing second M.2 SSD on my Omen. I successfully removed the 3080 graphics card and inserted a WD Black 2TB SN850X M.2 into the open slot. It is installed firmly and the computer boots as normal from the factory SSD. However, Windows 11 will not recognize the new 2TB disk in Disk Management or in Device Manager. My Windows 11 (x64, 22H2) install is fully up-to-date, and no drivers are missing.
Is this slot not supported? Am I missing a crucial step?

@LadyVarcolex , welcome to the Community.
The slot where the RTX 3080 was installed is PCI Express x16. It is not meant to support M.2, SSD's. They have a special socket. According to the information that I found on your motherboard there are 2-M.2 sockets, one for a WI-FI adapter and one for the M.2, SSD. The M.2 installed is a WD_BLACK 1 TB PCIe NVMe TLC Solid-State Drive. You can check to make certain there are no more M.2 sockets available.
You can buy a USB adapter to connect the M.2 to your computer.

I think you misunderstood. There is a M.2 slot behind where the RTX 3080 sits. If you look at the motherboard image here there are two SSD slots on the main board and the WiFi adapter in the lower right. This link is to my exact chipset version of the OasisOC board:

The factory-installed WD_BLACK 1 TB PCIe NVMe TLC Solid-State Drive is in the central SSD slot. I have installed my new chip in the area marked SSD2. There is a M.2 compatible slot there. Is this somehow not supported by the motherboard?

I did not understand that you were installing the M.2 in a M.2 socket, @LadyVarcolex! Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I suggest that you contact WD's Tech Support to see if they can help you solve your problem. They are the experts on their products. I don't believe that it is a HP hardware problem, but most likely an M.2 compatibility problem. They should know if this is correct.
