OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-0000a (4E978AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

The OMEN 45L Gaming Desktop won't turn on.  I've tried unplugging everything, including the power supply, then holding the power button for 15, 20, or 30 seconds, but it doesn't respond.  After about 30 minutes, I unplugged the power supply again, held the power button for 30 seconds, then plugged in the power supply and was able to get the PC to start.

Hi @ForeMont

Welcome to the HP Forum.

I would contact HP Support if in warranty.

Is the initial failure to turn on the PC occurring only after an unexpected shutdown?

I would suspect a component thermal problem in this situation.

Otherwise you have a really strange problem if the PC can't start until you wait 30 minutes after failing to do an initial cold start.

You could also have an intermittent power supply problem or an intermittent over voltage problem with the MB or a component connected to the MB.

You seem to be disconnecting AC power in both scenarios. This action fails in one instance (initial attempt to start the PC) but works if you wait 30 minutes.

I can't zero in on what is happening but you have some type of component problem.

Regards
