I owned this HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop/ with OMEN game HUb. Never used it, don't know much about it, but I want to purchase, a Game Ace Combat 7, before I realized I have OMEN already, was going to buy PS5 or Nintendo Switch, I was wondering if I am already there, just purchase game on OMEN. The question is: Are the games in OMEN Hub, compatable with my HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop ? I would assume, if its in the Games, and purchased, it would be. But don't want to pull the trigger and buy, if its not.

Not sure if the Ace Combat 7 in OMEN game hub version, is the same as buying PC version, requirements.

I updated the NVIDIA GeForce and all updates and drivers. Thank you for any info, and help.

My system currently::

HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop, 10th Generation Intel Core i5-10400F Processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Graphics, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Windows 11 Home (TG01-1120,

Hi @xSUITTOx,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

It’s great that you’re exploring gaming on your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop! It can be a little confusing at first, especially with so many platforms to choose from. Let’s make sure Ace Combat 7 will run smoothly on your setup.

  • Have you checked if Ace Combat 7 is listed in the OMEN Gaming Hub, or are you considering buying it through another platform like Steam or Epic Games?
  • Do you know if the OMEN Gaming Hub links to external game stores, or is it showing Ace Combat 7 as a native game within the hub?
  • Are there any specific minimum requirements listed for Ace Combat 7 on the platform where you're considering purchasing it?

Let's try these steps.

Verify Game Compatibility

  • Check the minimum and recommended system requirements for Ace Combat 7 (available online) and compare them to your desktop specs:
    • Intel Core i5-10400F (Good for most modern games).
    • GTX 1650 (Capable of running Ace Combat 7 at medium to high settings).
    • 8GB RAM (Sufficient for most games, though 16GB is ideal for multitasking).
  • Confirm that your system exceeds the minimum requirements.

Understand OMEN Gaming Hub

  • OMEN Gaming Hub does not sell games directly; it integrates with platforms like Steam, Epic Games, or Xbox Game Pass for PC.
  • If Ace Combat 7 is listed in the Hub, it will redirect you to purchase the game from one of these stores.

Choose the Right Platform

  • If OMEN Hub redirects you to Steam or Epic Games for Ace Combat 7, you are effectively purchasing the PC version of the game.
  • Ensure you buy it on a platform where you’re comfortable downloading and playing.

Optimize Your System

  • Since you updated your NVIDIA GeForce drivers, make sure Windows and OMEN Hub are also fully updated.
  • Use the OMEN Hub to enable Performance Mode for gaming and monitor your system’s temperature during gameplay.

Test with a Trial or Demo

  • Before purchasing, check if a demo or trial version is available on Steam or Epic Games. This can help confirm that the game will run well on your system.
  • Alternatively, test a similarly demanding game to gauge performance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Elohi, Hi, Thank you for your response.  Confusing, because if you google Ace Combat 7 Sky's Unknown, PC version, there nothing but X Box or Nintendo Switch. But If I go into OMEN, it comes up, and shows requirements, but needs Steam to download. Which, is a another situation, and confusing. So I am trying to buy a PC version game, but you have to go thru Steam or OMEN to buy !! I would like to just stay in Steam, because it user friendly to me, were Steam just confused me more. Thou Steam prices are cheaper. Its almost like you you need STEAM or OMEN, to control your computer, between me and Computer. So I have been researching PS5,  XBox, Nintendo Switch, and pondering buying one of, to eliminate confusion. Basically its a separate Item, which you have control, a disc and don't have to worry about requirements. (Weather itenals get get hot, processing, screen rate,etc..) More control with a separate unit. Look, when I bought the HP Tower, i didn't realize, it was a gaming Tower, because I am not a gamer. It was on Amazon and in my price range. Gradually realizing , what OMEN hub was. So it seems, buying PC games you have to go thru OMEN or Steam. Ace Combat 7 on OMEN is $56.00, on Steam its $14.99, but you have to use the Steam Platform, which I downloaded, didn't cost, that I am aware of so far. OR i can buy PS5 and purchase the only 2 games, I care about (Ace Combat 7 and Tekken 7/8) and and make it easy, yes, PS5 at $500 plus games, compared to a PC with gaming add ons on my tower, meant for games, and be confused as to if it has proper requirements. Maybe by the time I figure all this out, Il just say, Forget about it all. and save my money. But thankyou for your response , it helped.
