Greetings @Archer9

Welcome to the HP Forum.

I would say the USB card or the USB port has a problem if the PC works sans the external USB device.

It could be a MB component related problem if the PC runs but you have no video output.

However, I am fuzzy on what  "If i get up from my computer for 10 mins  the pc running, but monitor not turning on".

Does this statement mean you never see video or the video initially works at power on but then fails at around 10 minutes of activity?

This (no video at all) could mean you have an internal component problem if connections to a, known good, working monitor are correct.

I will provide some component troubleshooting tips once we verify a component problem. You may need replacement components. It is sometimes cost effective to have a local PC Tech take a look.

Is your PC is warranty? I would contact HP Support if your PC is in warranty.

Regards
