Greetings @ridensuto

Welcome back to the Forum.

I am not aware of any HP guides on cloning the operating system to a new storage device when upgrading the existing operating system drive.

Check out this YouTube video for some tips.

The YouTube author used Macrium Reflect free. Macrium is no longer free.

I use licensed cloning and disk imaging software. But you could try Hasleo Backup Suite free available at this Site.

I suggest reading the Hasleo User Guide at this link so you can do what needs to be done.

The YouTube author covers cloning when the MB has an second M.2 socket or when the MB has one M.2 socket requiring the use of an M.2 PCIe NVME to USB 3.0 adapter.

Disconnect any other SATA storage devices connected to the MB before you do the clone to avoid confusion.

Back up data on the existing system drive before doing anything.

Hi, I found a solution on the cloning part, but now im afraid that there might bee a head problen inside the computer kabinett due to the fact that the new m2 ssd that I play on getting might get hotter then the one aldready inside the pc. Im also trying to find manuals over the motherboard that could show me where the parts are on the pc. For instance the m2 ssd.

My pleasure.

Check this HP Video for a 25L GT11 MB. You have a 25L GT14 system but M.2 socket locations should be similar.

MB's with one or two M.2 sockets should have the primary system drive socket located between the graphics card and the CPU socket. The primary socket may have a factory installed heatsink. The second M.2 socket could be near the memory slots or it may be located in the lower part of the MB.

You can buy a PCIe NVME SSD with a heatsink or buy a heatsink separately. You will have to verify if the M.2 heatsink will work with your MB.

A retail NVME drive/heatsink combo may not be doable if it conflicts with nearby MB components.

Kingston FURY Renegade M.2 2280 SSD 2TB with heatsink is the one i got. And I also got a cloning device to directly copy the "old m2 ssd" to the new one. If it doesnt work im just returning it.

Got the new m2 ssd today in the mail. But there is no place to  place the new drive in the hp computer. This is the last time i ever get a hp computer that dont even leg me  put another m2 ssd in it.

I thought you purchased a M.2 cloning device so you could clone the OS from the HP drive to the new SSD.

A single M.2 socket MB will have this socket located below the CPU socket or near the RAM slots. The M.2 socket could also be located in the bottom half of the MB.

Clone the HP drive to the new drive using the cloning device. Remove the HP drive. Install the new drive.

Start the PC to see if Windows will load.

I can't follow what you are saying, what does: But it Washington for an older m2 ssd, mean?

I don't know what: That could tranfare from old type to the New, means.

Your MB's M.2 socket should support PCIe NVME M.2 drives. Did you buy a SATA M.2 drive?

Does the cloning dock you purchased support SATA and PCIe M.2 drives?

I would like to assist but I don't understand what is happening.

Your MB specs are Here.

The MB supports two M.2 sockets for SSDs.

The primary socket should be below the CPU socket. I don't know where the second M.2 socket is because HP do not provide MB images. It may be in the bottom right side of the MB. It could be hidden by the graphics card.

The older M.2 drive you have may be a SATA M.2 drive. Your MB supports PCIe NVME M.2 drives. You don't need a M.2 cloning dock; the MB has two M.2 sockets.

M.2 socket image follows:
