Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I just got my HP Omen desktop yesterday and I am trying to increase the speeds of my memory through bios but it keeps getting an error and I have to reset my computer with the old ram sticks. What ram can I use for my PC that will work at 3200MHz with 32gb of ram preferably from Best Buy. Am I doing something wrong or should I be getting a different ram set?

The memory specification for your PC is DDR4 PC4-21300. That is 2133 MHz.

 

That is something that you cannot change.

 

There are no truly advanced settings in your Omen PCs BIOS that will allow custom configuration.

Wait a second: BestBuy specifies 3733 MHz (PC4-29800) for their HP OMEN 40L Gaming Desktop Max System Memory RAM Speed, based on this link: HP OMEN 40L Gaming Desktop Intel Core i7-12700K 16GB HyperX Memory NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 1TB SSD J....

 

That should imply that @DevNastee's Corsair Vengeance RAM should easily be able to run at the specified DDR4 3600 MHz (PC4-28800) RAM speed. [EDIT:] CORRECTION: the installed Intel i7-12700K only supports up to 3200 MHz DDR4 (PC4-25600) max RAM speed.

 

@DevNastee, please verify: Model: GT21-0084, SKU: 6492574.

Perfect I  have never claimed to be nor will I never be.

 

I found more information as well that says that the Omen 40L GT21-0084 will support up to 64 GB HyperX DDR4-3467 MHz XMP RGB Heatsink RAM (4 x 16 GB).  at the link below this line

I will state that after finally finding some real specifications that the memory that HP says that the BIOS  will support is the HyoerX XMP RGB memory modules.
