Hi all.

purchased this product and was happy. Purchased 5 days ago and now , well, yesterday i have started battlefield 5 for a first tim at all ultra settings....

After 50 seconds of play i have heard some boeing 737 asking for a landing field and first i thinked it was in the game. but few moments later i have realized it was my computer rtx 3090 taking off without permission.

Also the i7 - water cooled was terribly hot.

I have this pc for a few days and this thing will totaly melt  if it will continue heating so hard!

i have talked with hp chat , asked if overheating problem solved , i have told that everythig great!

"Agent (Vhea B): "I have verified here that The OMEN 30L Desktops are heavy duty gaming systems. PC gaming requires effective cooling methods and technologies. The cooling system that this PC provides is the Cooler Master that HP’s ideal choice to develop all the thermal solutions for these desktops. You can be sure that your system will maintain safe temperatures and minimal noise with one of Cooler Master’s cooling solutions built in."

well my pc heats so hard that i can cook on it.

How do i lower temperatures?

i cant install bigger water cooling and cant do nothig it will void my warranty. So what should i do?

@Respect911

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to assist you with the computer overheating issue. The computer BIOS might be out-of-date. Check for a BIOS update from HP.

  1. Go to Software and Drivers Downloads, and then navigate to the product page for your computer.

  2. Locate BIOS in the list.

    • If the option is not available, the BIOS is up-to-date.

    • If the option is available, click BIOS, and then click Download next to the update. Follow the on-screen prompts, and then restart the computer. For more information, go to Updating the BIOS (Basic Input Output System).

And, also test the computer for any hardware failures, such as the memory, processor, or graphics hardware. Most HP desktop computers come with diagnostic software to verify hardware failures. For more information, go to Testing for Hardware Failures.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

well its great to have some answer finally, but unfortunately problem is much complicated.

once i start resident evil village its impossible to sit down without headphones. Noise level is 49 db in front of pc.

after 2 minutes of gaming we have 88C GPU temperature vs 79C PCU temperature.

No need to be great scientist to understand that heating so hard all the case and whats inside will harm it.

black western that located above gpu heats up to 60C . its NVME 2 it shouldnt be so hot .

I feel that so powerfull machine in so bad enclosure will just melt down . I need this pc to work and some pleasure. I dont want my pc go to lab for repairing even  when its warranty. I loose my time my work my money.

How can we solve that damned temperatures issue ??

@echo_lake

I dont believe that normal temperature for gpu is 80-100 we dont mine here.

great, as i can see there are several statements i can do.

1- there is no such thing HP SUPPORT at this forum.

2-problem of overheating exists and not from today HP dont resolve it , just dont care.

3-As i talked to HP representative in the chat and she said no worry everything is cooled well and will be no overheat!

The representative mislead customers. Do something with that,  misleading customers are case for lawsuit.

4- we talking about pc that costs 3000 USD !!!!!!!!! can it just work propertly ?

5- Im thinking about swaping the case and no care about warranty or extended warranty that i have 3 years of what ? of overheat?

no. thanks.

im done
