I have an HP Omen desktop and I’m running into RAM speed issues. I installed 4x8gb sticks of DDR5 rated for 5200 MT/s, but Task Manager and benchmarking apps only show 2000 MT/s, even with XMP enabled in BIOS. I’ve read that Omens sometimes downclock when all four DIMM slots are filled. Is this a limitation of the Omen motherboard/BIOS, and will using just 2 matched sticks (e.g., Corsair Vengeance DDR5 2×16 GB at 5200 MT/s in the recommended slots) allow me to run at the full XMP speed? Or is there another setting/workaround I should be aware of?

Hi @Nathan52825

I recommend using the custom option in the XMP configuration of the BIOS.

Thanks for your response, but I custom set the speeds to 5200MT/s, but still, it's stuck on 2000MT/s.
