Hp omen 25l GT11-1xxx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi!

I left my omen on to go do something else and when I returned the lights and fans are still running, when I click around with my mouse and keyboard they light up just fine and seem to be working just fine but the pc itself the video output just stoped and I get no signal on my monitor at all. I’ve tried everything and when this normally happens I’ve resorted to un plugging and re plugging in my pc which I’ve found out is really bad for the pc and I’ve got nothing left. Could this be a problem with my monitor?

thanks,

Hi,

I had a similar issue. I don't think it is a monitor problem.

All drivers were up to date per Microsoft. No Device manager errors. Everything looked good in System Information. I also manually downloaded the current graphics drivers for my card.

The problem was finally fixed when the motherboard (MB) manufacturer released a W11 chipset driver update for my MB.

I can only suggest checking your PC's Driver and Software download site for W11 drivers if your PC shipped with W10. I would direct you to the HP site but you have not provided a complete product number.

I believe you will continue to have this problem unless all drivers are updated.

Try the following system file check commands at an administrative command prompt:

sfc /scannow

Now run:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Upon completion run the following again sfc /scannow

No guarantees this will fix the problem but you may find some system file corruption if you updated to W11.

The chipset driver update fixed my sleep problem.

hi

sorry, you haven't given any news here

gpu or psu making weird buzzing noise (not coil whine)

from what you said it started off badly
but no news

then this

what motherboard do I have?

no news

The problem is not ultimately in itself, to have answered, and that we leave it there without news.
But 1 we considered a hardware problem, maybe this is just the consequence, it had to happen
Did you identify the source, it had been resolved, etc., we don't know anything
You talked about upgrading, did you change something, it might have a link
Now the computer is on and no display, it could just be software indeed, driver problem
but it can mean, that the video card, does not turn on, and does not send a video signal, consequence, no display

"I started to hear a weird electric static type noise from either my psu or my gpu.  "

Hi,

You're very welcome.

I had the sleep problem since October, 2021. Tried a clean W11 installation, no go. W10 worked fine but I wanted to stay on W11. I had given up at that point. Then I checked the MB manufacturer's site and found the W11 chipset driver, problem fixed.

You may be dealing with this problem until HP or Microsoft provides a better W11 chipset driver.

Regards
