Omen 27i Monitor

Hello everyone,

I am not sure if this is the right community for the issue, nevertheless I hope someone can help me out. I have been using the Omen 27i Monitor for 2 years now, connected to my PC via Display Port. Since my PS5 only supports HDMI I connected it with the port and that’s where the trouble began. As you can see on the pictures I get this weird black bar on the right side of the screen. I don’t know how to describe it so it’s understandable, but I will try: This bar is see through, and as soon as I start a game/video this bar starts flickering. I have never seen this before, and I don’t know what’s causing this. Some bullet points:

  • The PS5 was connected to my TV before with the same HDMI cable without any issues
  • I get the same result, the same black bar when I connect my PC over HDMI
  • When I connect my PC over Display Port there are no problems
  • I tried two different HDMI cables, it didn’t change anything
  • When I select the 1080i resolution when connected over HDMI the bar completely disappears, the screen looks normal
  • It doesn’t matter which other resolution (720p, 1080p, 1440p) I chose, the issue with the bar was there

I think my Monitors HDMI port might be the problem here, but I am not sure about that. Any help would be really appreciated!
