Hi @EhnTeePee

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Your PC's specs at this HP Site in the processor upgrade section indicate the MB is limited to 65 watt TDP CPUs.

The Ryzen 9 3900 would work with your MB. The 3900x at a higher TDP will probably not work with your MB.

The 3900 is an OEM part. Part Surfer does not list this part for purchase. I don't know if you can find this CPU at retail unless you find a used one somewhere. Maybe eBay.

Nice. Thanks Bill.

I didn't expect too many choices and figured I'd  be very limited.

Had no idea I'd be liked to the 3 series only.

Thank you.
