OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0380t CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

I’m having some issues with my Omen 30L where it started with infrequent applications crashing and it progressed to blue screens during mundane tasks like streaming Youtube videos. At that point I ran the Microsoft memory diagnostic tool and it indicated that there were issues with the RAM. I then ran the HP diagnostic scans as well and it showed similar RAM issues. Additional tests with memtest86 and HCI memtest confirmed the same.

I tried to rule out a bad stick of ram by testing each stick individually and they all passed at least the “fast” memory tests. I even tried a single stick in each slot to rule out an issue with the dim slot itself. Those all passed as well so it’s looking like it might be an issue with the motherboard itself.

Here’s the problem. I checked my warranty and it shows that it expired months before I purchased the PC at the end of September last year. So, I submitted a warranty dispute and provided the sales invoice as proof.  However, I read in another thread that the warranty dispute process may take a long time and I have a very short window to submit a claim for my hardware issues. How can I go about getting a claim submitted in the very short window that I should have left? I see there’s a “HP Out of Warranty Phone Support” option, but that seems like the wrong approach to take in this case. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.
