Hi.

Looking to replace my front ARGB fan with an OEM unit.

Can someone reply with a link to the part number or to the part so I can snap one up?

Hi @EhnTeePee

Welcome back.

Any luck finding a Ryzen 3900?

HP Part Surfer does not offer this part for purchase.

Check the fan for a part number. Try to find the part at eBay or other online retailers.

Regards

Hi.

Not going to bother with the 3900.

The gains would be unnoticeable while gaming.

I don't ever plan to use it for more than that.

This 3700x runs 4.4ghz all core without ever tipping past 73*c

At this point I'm just trying to keep the aesthetic and I know what a nightmare trying to get any non HP OEM to work can be.

Thank you, sir

Hi @EhnTeePee

My pleasure.

It can be difficult to find HP replacement parts. eBay might be your best option.

Maybe you will get lucky with the fan.

That's my next stop.

Thank you

This makes me laugh...

Auto manufacturers are required by US Federal Law to have parts available for any models they sold for the period of 10 years but, HP who still uses those fans in other Omen models doesn't have to keep spare parts for even 3.

The fans I've seen are about $30 give or take and I've seen cases with fans included for $100

I have options and they are not bad options I just find it odd HP isn't one of them.

I would have paid the OEM premium...

Thanks, Bill.

Hi @EhnTeePee

I am pretty sure your HP 30L uATX MB will work with retail case MB standoffs.

It appears the front_panel power button MB header on your MB is also compatible with retail cases.

This YouTuber claims he could move his HP MB installed in a 25L case to a different case. Or you could also install a retail uATX MB in the Omen 25L case.

It might be something to consider.

You might have some ARGB issues to overcome when using a retail case but there are retail ARGB/fan controllers to solve this problem. Some cases will include a ARGB button and an integrated ARGB/PWM fan controller with the case to cycle though color options.

I just did this case at Amazon with a retail ATX MB. The HP MB should work with this case if the YouTuber is correct.

Yes, of course

In the future should I outgrow this 3700x I'll consider another case.

For now I've  got a thermaltake RGB 120 in its place.

Those fans run on an external controller, and it serves just fine.

I appreciate your engagement, the ho chat apologized for my faulty fan and would happily sell me a new system to get me back into shape.
