Hello,

My PC turns on normally, the lights go on, and everything works, but there's no signal to the monitor. I've tried both the DisplayPort and HDMI, but neither has a signal. I've tried everything possible (restarting, unplugging and plugging back in cables, trying a different power outlet...), but unfortunately, nothing works. The cables shouldn't be damaged because the HDMI cable works with the PlayStation 5. The DisplayPort cable is only 2 weeks old. I don't know what else to do.

I would contact HP Support if your PC is in warranty. Or try the following troubleshooting steps to find the problem.

 

It looks like you may have a different component problem if the monitor works, and the power cable works and the data cables (HDMI and DP) going from the PC to the monitor are good. 

 

And you are connecting the monitor to the discrete graphics card HDMI or DP out.

 

I would remove the discrete graphics card. Now connect the monitor to onboard graphics if your PC has a "K" only CPU. The "F" CPU's don't have integrated graphics. You would need to try a different graphics card if your PC has an "F" CPU.

 

A different component is causing the problem if you get no video using onboard (CPU) graphics.

 

Remove all memory modules. Try each memory module, one at a time, in each memory slot to check for a good POST. Try one stick of different, known good, compatible memory.

 

Now run the PC in a minimum config by disconnecting all drives (SSD and HDD) and disconnect front panel USB. Also only use a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Remove the M.2 WIFI card. And try the memory troubleshooting routine again.

 

A no go running the PC in a minimum config would point to the power supply, MB, or the CPU.

You would need HP Support warranty service or a local PC Tech to determine which remaining component has failed at this point unless you have replacements components.

Hello. First of all, thank you for answering. I really appreciate it. I bought this PC two weeks ago, and I've never touched the interior of a PC before. I will try to call the HP support tomorrow.

HP builds an inordinate amount of PCs. Bad components out of the box are very unusual.

 

And, I don't know if HP does burn in testing on each PC which comes off the production line.

 

So you probably have a faulty PC component if your peripherals and cabling are good.
