OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-0000i (393C5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a brand new Omen 45 L that I started up January 1 2023.

When the computer is in "sleep mode" it powers up once every minute.

The lights go on and fans revs up but the screen stays off.

This lasts for approx 10 seconds before it goes back to sleep again and then it starts all over again every minute.

This can't be right and due to this I'm hesitant to leave the computer on when not in use.

My other HP Desk top (HP Pavilion 580-015no) stays asleep when it should be sleeping.

Hi

You should probably consider returning the PC for a refund/exchange if this option still exists or contact HP for assistance at this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-45l-gaming-desktop-pc-gt22-0000i/2100827516/model/21...

Select "Contact Us".

There is a possibility you have a hardware problem. Only connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to check system.

Try resetting the BIOS to defaults. Or only remove the CR2032 MB battery when the PC is off and disconnected from AC power after depressing the power button to drain residual power from the MB. Let the PC sit for a while. Reinstall the battery. This will reset CMOS.

Recover the HP factory image after backing up data. The HP image should be stable unless you have made operating system or BIOS changes. This would indicate a hardware problem if you see the same problem using the HP out of box image and factory BIOS settings.
