OMEN by HP 880-000 Desktop PC series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My system is the 880-030 with the Ryzen 1700 and GTX 1070, 16Gb of DDR2400.

Has anyone upgraded their Mobo with these Omen's and if so, what did you use?  I'm wanting to get more PCI-e slots as this one only has two (x16, x1, x1) and only a single x1 is available.

Hi BabaBooey,

Say hello to Howard.

You currently have a uATX motherboard (MB). But you would have to verify the MB tray standoff positions HP uses match retail uATX MB mounting positions. HP does use modified designs on some MBs.

You don't want a MB tray standoff contacting the MB where there is no MB mounting point. This may short the board.

Any retail AMD uATX MB supporting Ryzen should work if the MB mounting points match HP's standoff positions.

HP may also use modified front panel connections to the MB. So you have to verify you can connect front I/O, LEDs, and the power switch to the retail MB.

This is the best advice I can give. Maybe someone will reply with experience in swapping in a retail MB in your chassis.

There is a very good chance you will have to purchase a new Windows 10 product key. Changing the MB is a deal breaker per Microsoft's licensing agreement when using a Windows  OEM product key.

Thanks, that's a great start for me to start looking into.  Much Appreciated.
