Anyone else have their BIOS update by itself?  I powered on my machine this morning, and it immediately started updating the BIOS.  Everything seems to be fine, but I thought it was pretty weird.  I've never had a PC do this on its own before.

Do you have the HP Support Assistant set to install all HP updates automatically? If its running in the background, yes it will update the bios if it detects an update available. You can set it to never check for updates also in Settings.

I personally turn it off. I never let a bios update automatically. If I do update it, I use the manual download from the drivers page of the HP website.

I didn't think I had that turned on, but now I will have to take a look.  Thanks.
