We have already figured that the issue is a windows update that breaks the lighting. HP has not updated the Omen gaming hub to support this latest windows update. So for now if we want our lighting controls to work, we must keep the windows updated uninstalled until either HP or windows posts a new update.

Yes I was just letting people know what update to rollback and uninstall.

My issue was the lights weren't turning off even when my computer was asleep for hours. The light and fans were on for the whole night and I don't usually turn my PC off. Uninstalling that latest windows update fixed everything. The BIOS and all that did not work, I spent hours trying to reboot the software and fix the glitches but NONE of them worked. The only thing that worked was uninstalling the windows update.

Hi guys!

Exact same problem. Thanks all for the help. As another member shared, I have spent hours reinstalling OGH, updating Bios, and so on for nothing. It started after an update where fans rgb did not change despite "being detected" though RAM rgb could still be modified, but after reinstalling OGH for first time it did not detect anything. Windows Dynamic worked for fans, not for RAM rgb. Uninstalling my latest W11 updates made the trick (in my case, ones installed in Sep 11 and 16) and I can controll again everything. Worth mentioning LCD screen from the CPU worked at all times. Just happy it seems an external software problem, and not hardware related. Thanks all and hopefully they fix this soon.

I feel your pain, I spent hours trying to do all that too! Hopefully they rollout a fix asap. The good news is that I went ahead and stopped the automatic windows updates, it has only caused me pain and distress. I was ready to send back my Omen to get repaired since it’s still under warranty.

the biggest issue was that none of the lights were turning off and my fans were running throughout the entire night. Glad it worked for you and glad you got it fixed though!

Yes I had same concern, both on processing the warranty and not being able to turn off the lights during nights. Bottom line here, while it gets fixed, was that Windows Dynamic could turn off the Rgb from the fans. I believe someone said that other softwares - e.g. Corsair, Msi, equivalents - could turn off/edit the RAM rgb.

I confirm that the uninstall of KB5065426 solve the problem (and make the start of windows faster) but I would like to keep my windows up to date so this is not a definitive solution...

Does HP work on this ?

This fix worked. So how do I stop this updating again?

I have avoided updating Windows until now.  The last time I went to shut down there was no option to shut down without updates.  So I powered off.  On powering on the next day, Windows automatically installed it's updates.  Now the gaming hub lighting control is inop again.

I don't know, the Windows update was reinstalled on my PC, so the problem is back. Maybe it will be fixed in a future Windows update or Omen Hub update...
In the meantime, the RGB fan control works with Windows personalization settings, and the RGB RAM control works with FURY CTRL.
I'd rather have my Windows up to date than the Omen Hub, which I simply uninstalled.

What update?  Did contact HP support for my PC, they tried a bunch of things.  The last thin was a reset and that fixed it until windows installed an update.  Now case has been escalated.  They said this is a software problem and the are working on it with Microsoft and HP engineers.
