I understand that the Omen Light Studio is a beta application, but I do have a recent issue with it. Every time I open it, an overlay pop-up appears then freezes control of the studio. The background portion of the app is still running fine, but I can no longer access any of the profiles I had set up for my keyboard and mouse.

Troubleshooting steps that I have tried:

Uninstall/reinstall

Resetting and repairing the app in Windows app settings

Deleting the .json files to potentially remove a corrupt one

These steps have all failed at getting rid of this blank pop-up that disables control of the studio. My wife has the same model Omen and her studio works as intended with the same recent updates.Snapshot of Blank Pop-upSnapshot of Blank Pop-up

So happy you pointed out my error with interchanging the two applications. It gave me a new direction to look to solve the problem instead of focusing solely on the Light Studio.

This time, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Gaming Hub (since launching from here was where the error occurred).

Doing this allowed the Light Studio to launch correctly from the Hub, but did create a minor problem with two overlays from my alternate route to launch the Light Studio. Reinstalling the Light Studio at this point corrected the double layouts and allowed me to control my peripherals accordingly.

As of right now, all of my Omen software is working appropriately. Thank you @banhien for incidentally guiding me in the right direction.

I solved the issue. Or at least got it to work.

After reinstalling the app to its default mode and the problem continued, I gave myself complete control over the application file through the security settings.

Didn't delete anything this time, just launched it from the file instead of the Omen Command Center. The pop-up never showed up and I now have the ability to customize the lighting and the studio background application runs appropriately too. Hopefully the next update won't require this much effort.

That's my fault for stating the Omen Command Center. I read the name while troubleshooting and began to use the two interchangeably. I am running the Omen Gaming Hub on an Omen 30L GT13-0024 (Purchased in April of this year).

The problem still exists for me through the Omen Gaming Hub, so I have to utilize my Band-Aid method for now. Since I can launch the light studio appropriately from my C-Drive (with the right permissions given to myself to access it), but I can't launch it from the Gaming Hub, then I might be able to assume that the Light Studio launch file in the Gaming Hub might be corrupted.

I'm still fairly new to digging into issues like this on computers. I'm a nuts and bolts kind of guy, but do enjoy the hunt of troubleshooting and happy to learn along the way. If you have any idea on how to fix the Gaming Hub launcher, please let me know. Also, other than this, my Gaming Hub seems to be working just fine, I have been utilizing the rewards, game launcher, and the other software for my omen peripherals.

Thank you so much for any help.
