More or less, I just got my Omen today, however it doesn't seem to be using the graphics card for anything (games crash, claim DX11 feature 10.0 is needed despite having DX12), I've updated my drivers (which also downloaded a driver for the 2080), and updated windows, then restarted my PC all to no avail. The only thing I've done since getting it is remove the 256gb SSD and 2TB dHDD and replace it with my SSD and HDD. I've attached a couple pics of the inside bits to hopefully help figure out what's going on, and if it's just an unconnected wire or perhaps the PSU that came with it is too weak (it's a stock 500 watt that came with it)? Please let me know if any other info is needed.

Greetings,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Did the Nvidia driver update install correctly?
From your image it looks like you have the monitor cable plugged into a port on the 2080. The Intel processor also has integrated graphics. I have plugged the monitor into the wrong HDMI port on occasion.
Have you checked Device Manager to verify the 2080 is the default display adapter?
Swapping in your components is not a problem but this complicates getting support from HP.
Try reseating the graphics card and the six/eight pin PCIe PSU connector attached to the card.
No joy means you must either contact HP Support (Link) or consider returning the system for a refund/exchange.
Regards

I didn't think to check this, but after uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them it worked, thanks!
