Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I was testing out my graphics on more gpu-intensive games. When I went to look up the recommended temperature ranges for the NVIDIA GeForce MX 550 to operate at, I could not find anything. I also contacted Nvidia, but as this is specifications are set by the laptop manufacturer, my question is, what is the recommended temperature range that the graphics card should be at when gaming?

@Nemesis743 , welcome to the Community.

 

I have not seen any specifications provided by HP on the mobile video card.  However, I have seen several recommendations of 82C to 85C to assure the card is not damaged.  This makes a lot of sense.  Lower temperatures are always preferred.

 

Keep the vents clean and use the laptop on a flat surface to keep the heat to a minimum.
