Hi, I did post a question a while back for recommendations for a new hard drive for my HP 875-1000 Obelisk Desktop, and I investigated but still a bit stuck!
The current drive model is - MTFDHBA256TCK-1AS1AABHA
I'm a bit lost trying to find a suitable upgrade, I did find this so appreciate if anyone could suggest if this would be compatible:

Hi
Have seen some HP MBs balk at certain types of SSD upgrades, Samsung was on this list - the BIOS does not recognize the new drive. Can't say if your MB will do this.
You should be able to upgrade the drive using any retail NVME M.2 SSD available for sale.

Existing drive is from Micron:
https://www.xonelec.com/mpn/micron/mtfdhba256tck1as1aabha
It is a standard M.2 NVMe SSD drive. You can use same manufacturer again (cheap) such as
https://www.amazon.com/Micron-MTFDHBA1T0QFD-Encryption-Compatible-Lenovo/dp/B09HGR5JL3
or use up market drives from Samsung, Crucial ... for example
https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/nvme-ssd/970-evo-nvme-m-2-ssd-500gb-mz-v7e500bw/

Thanks both for the suggestions, I actually managed to get through to HP Sales/Support and have ordered this:
Crucial P5 Plus 1TB PCIe M.2 2280SS Gaming SSD
· CT1000P5PSSD8
· Configuration ID: CT20189955
1TB M.2 SSD • PCIe NVMe Gen 4 • 6600 MB/s Read, 5000 MB/s Write
Hopefully that will help others too!
