Hi,
I bought a PC from HP this week.
I was playing a game at 1440p and my PC's fans were very loud. After 20 minutes the PC then shut itself down whilst I was playing the game.
When I inspected the PC I noticed one cooling hose has a very tight bend in it.
Pictures attached.

Hi @Paulomenpc,
Thank you for your response,
If you're experiencing overheating issues with your OMEN 30L Desktop GT13, there are several steps you can take to address the problem and improve the system's cooling efficiency. Overheating can lead to performance problems and potential damage to your components, so it's important to address it promptly. Here's what you can do.
- Check Ventilation and Airflow: Make sure that your desktop is placed in a well-ventilated area with enough space around it for proper airflow. Ensure that the intake and exhaust vents of the case are not blocked by objects or walls.
- Dust and Clean: Over time, dust and debris can accumulate inside the case and block airflow, leading to overheating. Open the case and carefully clean out any dust from the fans, heatsinks, and components using compressed air or a soft brush. Be sure to turn off and unplug the system before opening the case.
- Upgrade Cooling Components: If your system's stock cooling solution isn't sufficient for your needs, you might consider upgrading to more efficient cooling components. This could include upgrading the CPU cooler, adding additional case fans, or even considering liquid cooling solutions.
- Monitor Temperatures: Install monitoring software to keep track of your CPU and GPU temperatures in real-time. This can help you identify which components are overheating and whether the issue is persistent.
- Thermal Paste Replacement: Over time, the thermal paste between the CPU/GPU and their respective heatsinks can degrade, leading to poor heat transfer. If you're comfortable doing so, you can replace the thermal paste with a high-quality thermal compound to improve heat dissipation.
- Update BIOS and Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest BIOS firmware and drivers installed for your motherboard, GPU, and other components. Sometimes, software updates can improve system stability and temperature management.
- Undervolting and Underclocking: If your system is still experiencing overheating after trying the above steps, you might consider undervolting your CPU and GPU or underclocking them slightly. These techniques can reduce power consumption and heat generation, although they may also lead to a decrease in performance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
