Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, my PC is an Obelisk 875 1000i 25L. My problem is with the GPU temperature. When performing certain intensive tasks, the temperature starts to rise to almost 200 Fahrenheit, and the fans don't activate. My PC has a liquid cooling system. I don't know if it's sealed or if the liquid needs to be replaced if it's replaced. On the other hand, I've never changed the thermal paste on the processor because I've never removed the cooling unit. Can you help me identify the problem?

My pleasure.

Thermal paste is subjective.

Well, i have been using Noctua NT-H1 available at Amazon with very good results.

Greetings @silves

Welcome to the HP Forum.

200 Degrees F is way too hot.

Is the graphics card over heating or is the processor over heating? Please ID what fans are not spinning.

Graphics card fans usually only spin when card temps hit about 60 Degrees C.

The CPU liquid cooling system pump may have failed, or the pump is clogged, or the closed loop system has lost coolant due to permeation or evaporation.

It is not possible to add liquid to most closed loop liquid cooled systems. You would have to replace the AIO liquid cooled system if the pump has failed or the system has lost a significant amount of coolant.

You could try replacing the CPU TIM to see if this fixes the over heating problem.

Check this YouTube video for tips on redoing CPU thermal paste.

Hello. This happened to me about the high temperature while using an HD video creation program. Afterwards, the temperature dropped to normal when running basic programs on the PC. For now, I'm going to change the thermal paste to see if that fixes it. I ran an HP test, and the fans worked during the test. I would appreciate it if you could recommend what thermal paste I can use on my PC. Thank you for all your help.
