HP Omen Desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Having intermittant power issues, and it seems to have corrupted windows. So I was resetting windows when power went down again, and it is now corrupt.

But my question is, now to try and repair the installation the PC beeps 20 times and does not complete the POST. Because of that, I can't use a windows install disc as it wont get past post.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi

20 beeps is unusual, you quite often get a beep code repeated 5 times, so could yours be 4 beeps repeated 5 times?

Depending on the age of the PC and the BIOS vendor...

PLEASE POST ANY RESULTS.
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.

NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).
