Hello,

I am contacting you regarding a critical BIOS/TPM compatibility issue on my PC:

• Model: PC Bureau gaming Victus by HP TG02-0059nf
• Motherboard: 89D8 SMVB
• Processor: AMD
• System: Windows 11 (up to date)
• BIOS: version f.29 (latest version available)

Despite:

an up-to-date BIOS,

the TPM 2.0 activated (AMD fTPM), 3.94.0.5

Secure Boot activated,

Windows 11 validated,

several recent games (notably BO7) indicate that the BIOS firmware still needs an update and refuses to start.
The TPM is recognized by Windows, but the TPM firmware embedded in the BIOS is obviously not compliant with current gaming/anti-cheat requirements.

After many verifications:

no additional BIOS updates are offered via HP Support Assistant,

no user solution allows to correct the problem,

it is clearly a lock or an obsolete TPM firmware on the HP BIOS side.

Greetings @tonitoni28

Your MB has the latest BIOS update.

The MB needs to be running TPM version 3.94.2.5. And the Secure Boot (PK) database probably needs updating.

I can only suggest to routinely check this HP Site for a possible future BIOS update.

I don't work for HP and have no idea if HP will update your MB to the correct TPM version required to play some games.

Regards

Thank you for your response, but I would like a response from an employee of HP to get more information on whether they are going to have an update or not instead of waiting for months for a fix that doesn’t work.
