@Bb285, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC that does not power on!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I know how frustrating that can be. Let’s try to figure this out together!

Here are a few steps to get started with troubleshooting:

Check the power source:

  • Make sure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the laptop and the wall outlet.
  • Try a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the socket.

Perform a hard reset:

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if it's removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery (if applicable) and the power adapter, then try turning it on.

Check for power indicators:

  • Do you see any lights on the laptop or the charger when you try to power it on?
  • If the power light is blinking, take note of the pattern — it could indicate a specific hardware issue.

To narrow it down a bit more, could you help me with a couple of details?

  • When you press the power button, do you hear any fan noise or see any lights at all?
  • Have there been any recent power surges or hardware changes before this issue started?
  • Also, let me know which HP device are you using.

Let me know how it goes — we’ll figure this out together!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
