Ok so I was getting advice from ai chat as I was having non stop bsod errors scannow dism fails etc.

so I decided it be easier with fresh install, so I updated the bios before hand then created win11 usb install to be used. I got advice from bot telling me to remove partitions etc on drives which I done ( it failed to mention formatting them) and told me to select drive 0 .

did as instructed but now loops crashes due to being installed to hdd drive.

Now I’m stuck in a loop of not being able to do a new fresh install and at the button to click next it reboots over n over the same issue. I’ve even unplugged the sata drive so there’s only the ssd and I’m having no luck being able to get to the install options so that I can format the ssd then install.

can anyone help as it’s driving me crazy….

If your PC is 5 or less years old, the only suggestion I can offer would be to use the HP cloud recovery tool on another Windows PC to make a USB recovery drive that will reinstall the original HP factory image on the drive.

Leave the SATA drive disconnected.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility:

Since you have to use the software on another PC as yours is not working, you will have to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed.

Hi thanks for the reply…I can’t create a recovery drive as the ssd is wiped. I’ve unplugged the sata and I’ve made sure bios is set properly for boot up .

I managed to find online when pressing f9 to get the start of install options to shift f10 to get to cmd and find disk vols and clean ssd .
I managed to get to over 50% install then screen went black as if restarting , I read on here someone had same type issues and removed usb. The screen hanged on blue and if I pressed anything was black wavy lines then it restarted with no windows drive installed screen f30 I think.

so should I do it all again and leave usb as I thought if it restarted it might try read from usb not ssd…

im kinda lost and it’s been 6hrs plus

You're very welcome.

You have to use another PC to create the recovery media with.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with the problems you are having trying to clean install Windows.

On the clean install I did the same again to clean the ssd etc but now when I tried to install afresh via usb it’s now saying “setup has failed to validate the product key”

I also don’t have access to another pc

\cant create using recovery tool due to hp saying product id invalid ie my pc is from 2023 warranty run out 2024...

if i do get it going and onto a usb will it end my woes as i now have a dead pc , no matter how many times i have to keep setting bios for boot order then on instal screen shift f10 diskpark clean drives then try install it gets to 55/66% and crashes ith errors then after that says no boot drive installed.

So any feed back help support would be greatful as look s like im calling hp in few hours.... as it shouldnt be this hard to wipe hdds /fresh install

So i have borrowed a laptop from neighbour and downloaded cloud recovery tool after finding my product id (no sticker on pc) it installs and just right at the end fails. tho i think from prevoiously the sata drive initially have os been tried to install to and crashed might be causing issues.

is there a way to clean all any drives so that i can re try afresh

So  Paul an update on todays events..

eventually iwth help from ai chatbot i got the recovery tool to install and eventually after some to and fro got to desktop. Though my pc is a 45l desktop with 25h2 win11 64bit etc ...on the installed recovery had me as a laptop note book with win 11 home 64bit 22h2 windows. nothing was properly working , clock wouldnt update setting to auto etc then eventually did windows update and a list of 20things ...bit by bit downloaded installed and can see it coming to life...then the last 5 files failed to download install were from hp and kept saying retry...

So chat bot asks me to restart pc to download update drivers etc...which it was then started bsod errors then rebooting and failed .

then kept asking for recovery image / tool even though usb wasn't installed and the bios was prio to boot from os hdd.

It then started blue screen errors and bsod knl errors and finally after being told by and actual agent person to hold down win b power etc , cables out etc on restart gave long intermitant beeps witha blue warning box

So now can you direct me to where to get to bios software to put to usb so i can try that...as a final resort

As ive been given the option of sending my pc back to HP or out of warranty repairs and returned in 6-10 wd  at a price of £550.

And there's no guarantee what the issue is or what needs replaced etc so may cost even more down the line....

In order to see if you can make a USB BIOS recovery drive for your PC, I would need to know the full model number or product number of your PC.
