On the original motherboard, the LED header looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/w1W6Deu
On the new motherboard I've upgraded to, the LED header looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/i3tujaL
The connector looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/DYnmFv3
It looks like the connector could fit in the new one but when trying to push it in it only takes up the space of about 3 pins, so the space between the 4 pins on the new one is bigger than on the old one.
Is this some kind of HP-bespoke LED connector? What's it's name? I can't find talk of a smaller 4 pin connector anywhere, let alone any kind of converter. I also can't find any motherboards apart from HP that have the "lips" around where the connector would slot into, making me believe even more that its a HP thing.
Original motherboard was the Thimpu, https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-870-000-desktop-pc-series/11084748/document/c0479022...

Hello @JamieS13
This is just one of the reasons I never recommend upgrading to a name brand motherboard from an HP proprietary board.
Ive never messed with the 870 series so I am having to guess here. HP does not give us access to any schematics.
The 3rd image of the HP cable connector end looks like a 4-pin fan header.
The new board RGB header looks like a standard RGB ribbon connector.
I think you're going to have to get creative if you want to do this, otherwise I would suggest a better case with better airflow and cable management.
This looks like an adapter that would work perhaps? Maybe you could search something available in your area... https://shopee.com.my/PHANTEKS-4Pin-RGB-Connector-Cable-60cm-PC-Case-Fan-LED-Strip-Extension-Cord-i....
If not, you might have to get a standard connector, cut the HP connector off and solder it to the new cable end.

Best I can offer unless someone else has something they have actually used.

That adapter does look like it would work. Luckily there's a listing for it on eBay in the country where I am for quite cheap, coming from China. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/184332746533?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-153316-527457-8&mkcid=2&ite...
Thank you so much! I thought I was without the lighting until I upgraded the case (Will do eventually...). I'll mark your post as a solution when I get the adapter (which will probably take a while...) and make sure it all works.
